International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB)

The International Baccalaureate® Middle Years Programme provides a framework of academic challenge and life skills appropriate to this stage of adolescence. The IBMYP offers a holistic approach that emphasizes critical thinking skills, global citizenship, and intercultural awareness, as well as traditional school subjects. At Carver Middle School, all of our students have access to the IB Middle Years Programme.

The curriculum consists of eight subject groups explored through six global contexts: identities and relationships, orientations in space and time, personal and cultural identity, globalization and sustainability, fairness and development, and scientific and technical innovation.
